The Business of Sustainability Initiative at Georgetown Universitys Mc Donough School of Business invites applications for a post-doctoral fellowship. The Initiative focuses on the business approach to sustainability that creates long-term value by embracing opportunities and managing risks deriving from solving environmental and social developments. We focus on student learning, thought leadership, and convening and outreach. More information about the Business of Sustainability Initiative is available at https://businessofsustainability.georgetown.edu/ This post-doctoral opportunity aims to encourage early-career scholars to pursue research on topics related to the business of sustainability. The fellow will primarily be expected to contribute to the Initiatives ongoing thought leadership by working with faculty associated with Initiative to collaborate on new research projects. While there are some well-defined projects under consideration by the faculty, there is flexibility to develop/explore other interesting research questions related to business of sustainability. In addition, this position will enable the post-doctoral fellow to engage with the Initiatives ongoing efforts in convening and outreach with practitioners and policymakers. The candidates primary supervisor will be the Academic Director for the Initiative, Professor Vishal Agrawal (Vishal.Agrawal@georgetown.edu). Candidates should hold a Ph.D. from a business-related discipline or expect to defend their dissertation by August 2025. We are seeking candidates with high potential or demonstrated ability to publish research on business of sustainability in top-tier research outlets. The appointment will be expected to begin in August 2025 and is expected to be for two years. However, a duration of only one year can also be considered. The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position is $75,000-$100,000, which represents the full range of anticipated compensation for this position.
