Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Full time
Fulton State Hospital
Fulton, Missouri

As a full time, exempt Clinical Staff Pharmacist with CPS Solutions, LLC at Fulton State Hospital, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, provide pharmaceutical care to forensic psychiatric inpatients based on evidence from current guidelines and literature, supervise and utilize automation for dispensing activities including Parata's ATP2 packager and InspectRx and TouchPoint Medical's MedDispense, fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

Schedule: This position is full time, 40 hours per week, with a typical work schedule of Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. This position also is on call every 7th week when the pharmacy is closed (4:30pm-8am weekdays and 24 hours on weekends and holidays).

Pay range: $120k-$122k annual salary based upon applicable work experience.

About the Facility: Fulton State Hospitalhas 440 hospital beds and is the oldest forensic public mental health facility west of the Mississippi River. This facility has been providing mental health services since 1851 and is certified by both the Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. CPShas partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

Required Qualifications:



  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current Missouri Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Completed PGY2 in Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice and current Board Certification in Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice.

    • If not currently BCPP, obtaining Board Certified w/i 12 months of eligibility ORqualified to become Board Certified in Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice and obtaining certification with 12 months after eligibility


  • Recent work experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital setting with psychiatric patients
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written


Hospital Requirements: (may be required)



  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof ofnegativeTB skin test within thelast 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer provingimmunity
  • Varicella -(2)documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • HepB3 Series(or declination)
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
  • COVID Vaccine
