Description This is an instructional position that does clinical coordination for the Physical Therapy Assistant Program. Teach courses in the Physical Therapy Assistant program. Advise students. Review PTA courses in areas of syllabi, lesson plans, tests, course offerings and implement needed improvements. Maintain accreditation processes of the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Keep informed of changes affecting programs as mandated by accrediting agency. Assist in curriculum reviews. Maintain communication with health care agencies. Promote positive relationships. Conduct student follow up surveys. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A physical therapist with a minimum of a Master's degree who holds a current license to practice in Florida. A minimum of five years (or equivalent), full time, post-licensure experience that includes a minimum of three years ( or equivalent) of full time clinical experience. Experience in teaching, administration (clinical and/or educational), fiscal management, and/or curriculum development. Experience in education theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation and outcome assessment, including the equivalent of 9 academic credits of coursework in educational foundations.
