The University of Chicago in partnership with Michigan State University is launching a second three-year NSF Summer Institute in Advanced Quantitative Methods for STEM educationresearch. The institute focuses on developing leadership amonga new generation of early- and mid-career researchers of STE Meducation, especially those making research endeavors to promote STEM learning among students from underrepresented backgrounds. Adiverse cohort of 25 NSF SIARM-for-STEM Fellows will be selectedto

• attend summer courses in 2025 and 2026 in research designs andcausal inference, measurement, social networkanalysis/computational methods, multilevel modeling, and causalmediation and decomposition analyses;
• engage in daily round-table discussions each summer;
• receive continuous methodological support between summers;
• complete and present a high-quality signature project in summer2027;
• receive support from the advisory board, expand professionalnetworks, and develop leadership visions and skills.
