Job Description:

The Warehouse Supervisor, reporting to the Assistant Parts Operations Manager, will manage and oversee the warehouse activities of their assigned area, ensure efficient processes, and maximize warehouse productivity. The Supervisor will plan, organize, supervise, and participate in daily warehouse operations and activities.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for adhering to and meeting the daily department goals in safety, sanitation, productivity, and quality and ensuring all area targets are met.

  • Complete the day-to-day tasks relative to team member schedules, time, and attendance.

  • Provide supervision, and direction to the team as it relates to the day-to-day workflow.

  • Lead daily start up meetings and post data/metrics for assigned display board.

  • Arrive early/stay late to open/close facility as assigned.

  • Works with customers, customer service, sales, and quality to resolve urgent customer complaints.

  • Proactively identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Assess warehouse operations continually to ensure the warehouse is neat, secure, safe, and well organized.

  • Responsible for ensuring associates are properly trained on all standard operating procedures.

  • Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures.

  • Measure and report KPIs and operational metrics to the Operations Manager.

  • To ensure 5S in all areas is constantly challenged and striving for excellence.

  • To ensure that standards of discipline are always maintained in line with company policies & carry out daily team meetings.

  • Participate in warehouse production as needed to insure on time shipping performance and customer satisfaction.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

  • 3 years supervisory warehouse or distribution experience required.

  • Demonstrated experience leading, training, developing and motivating teams.

  • Experience of ERP/MRP systems, particularly Oracle would be preferable.

  • Considerable experience using all MS packages especially Excel is essential.

  • Availability to work 2nd shift from 2:30 PM - 12 AM

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills are all essential

  • Ability to govern progress to a detailed level and interpret system reports to bring about change as necessary.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Strong orientation toward quality, 5s and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to learn quickly, use your initiative and work as part of a team.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is essential for success in this role.

  • Experienced in operating sit down/stand up forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.

  • Requires the ability to lift, pull, push, and guide medium weight objects up to 50 lbs.

The salary range for this position is $60,800 - $78,000. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
