The Greenville News, part of the USA Today Network, is recruiting for a growth and development business reporter in Greenville, South Carolina. The reporter will become the recognized voice of our business growth and development coverage. They will track business openings and closings, dig into business trends, and find the latest developments in the housing and retail markets. The ideal candidate is an investigative reporter at heart who has the skills to analyze issues and the storytelling ability to show readers how major changes across the business landscape impact life in the region. They should be adept at source development, have experience using public records, databases, and other digital-focused tools, bring a rock-solid knowledge of AP style, and demonstrate a proven ability to meet daily and long-range deadlines. The Greenville-Spartanburg area is a growing, vibrant region home to the largest BMW production facility in the nation, an emerging tech community, and a robust tourism economy. We are located 90 minutes from Charlotte, North Carolina, 2.5 hours from Atlanta, and three hours from South Carolina's coastal beaches. Requirements:
