INTRODUCTION: MAINTENANCE MECHANIC III 100% Position Anticipated Start Date: 12/2024 ABOUT THE JOB: This position is responsible for daily operation, maintenance and repair of assigned Dining and Centers buildings including food service equipment repair, custodial equipment repair, preventative maintenance, building maintenance, inspections, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry repairs. This position will interact with students, faculty, dining, facilities and other campus staff. This position is required to follow safe work practices, follow industry standards for maintenance/repairs, have good communication and practice accurate record keeping skills. This position will service Price Commons, North Point dining and William's Stadium concession areas. This position will back up Memorial Student Center. Employee shift is 7: 00 am - 3: 30 pm, Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as directed. This position will be required to respond to a 24-hour maintenance phone on a rotation with other staff. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum

Physical Demands Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, stoop, crouch, climb stairways, crawl, turn, kneel and balance.

DE Facilities Management is comprised of Building Maintenance and Grounds, Custodial Services, Heating Plant, Administration, and Facilities Planning and Engineering. The campus is comprised of 2.4 million square feet on approximately 135 acres including 55 buildings of which 22 are academic/research, 12 support services and 21 for university housing. The campus has its own utilities of steam, chilled water, data and electricity.
