The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for two new tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Appointments will be considered for starting dates as early as July 1, 2025. One position seeks applicants with experimental research focus on electrochemistry and/or electrochemical engineering areas, while the other seeks candidates focused on biomolecular / biomaterials / biomedical engineering. The department also has strategic interest in the areas of materials, separations, green manufacturing, and energy. The experimental electrochemistry/electrochemical engineering candidate is expected to integrate into the existing electrochemistry cluster focusing on energy storage, critical materials recovery, electrocatalysis, electrochemical separations, and sustainable manufacturing. The successful applicant is expected to establish an independent research program, foster meaningful collaborations with existing departmental and university research strengths, and contribute to impactful research with national and international recognition. Additionally, the candidate is expected to teach at all levels. Case Western Reserve University is an independent research university located in Cleveland's University Circle, a square mile urban district of cultural, medical, educational, religious, and social service institutions. The university is comprised of eight schools with approximately 12,500 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. All applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field and must hold great potential for research leadership, grant funding, teaching excellence and service contributions.
