Oneonta City School Districthas the following vacancy: Tutor Hourly per diem appointment during regular school day hours. Bachelor's degree required; NYS teaching certification preferred. $28/hour. We are looking for a patient and knowledgeable Tutor to provide academic support to students across various subjects. In this role, you will assess student learning needs, develop personalized lesson plans, and help students improve their understanding of specific topics. Responsibilities include reviewing class material, explaining complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner, and assisting with homework, test preparation, and study strategies.The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in the subject areas they tutor, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education. You should be able to adapt your teaching style to meet individual learning needs and encourage a positive and productive learning environment.Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one or group tutoring Help with homework and test preparation Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods Requirements: Strong knowledge in the subject area(s) Excellent communication skills Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred Oneonta City School District is an equal opportunity employer.
