ATTORNEY I

$79,904 to midpoint $90,595 yearly salary – Deadline by 5pm November 7, 2024.

Provide legal representation for the city on simple to moderately complex legal matters, including administrative hearings, ordinance enforcement, and litigation. Work requires professional level of knowledge of a discipline equivalent to that which is acquired in a Master’s degree-level of study or appropriate certification such as a Professional Engineer, Law Degree, or Certified Public Accountant. Juris Doctor required.

Preferences: License to practice law in Illinois, ability to meet the transportation requirements of the job, and comprehensive, practical knowledge of a technical field with use of analytical judgment and decision-making abilities.  Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, considered.
