Accountant

Entrepreneurial and growth company located in Bourne, MA looking for an experienced Accountant to manage general accounting and financial processes of the company. Candidate will be responsible for all daily accounting tasks, including preparing journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statement preparation. You will perform financial transactions and post them in the general ledger, with strong attention to detail. This is a ground floor opportunity for the right person to grow as the company expands.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and update accounting records in accordance with GAAP.
• Process payroll and expense reports. Interact with outside CPA firm on accounting issues.
• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger.
• Conduct month-end close in a timely manner.
• Produce monthly financial reports to owner and outside stakeholders.
• Review and update financial controls as necessary.
• Work with all departments to resolve financial issues.

Skills and Job Requirements:

• BS in Accounting and minimum 5 years experience.
• Advanced computers skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company.
• Manufacturing experience a plus.
