You will work with high-performing teams to create and deliver world-class, innovative learning experiences that empower Nebraskans to improve their lives around critical issues, such as pesticide application. Nebraska Extension has an excellent opportunity for a full-time faculty position located in Lincoln, NE. The focus of this position will be on improving pesticide use in crops, non-crop areas, and chemigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining pesticide safety education programs for in-person and online delivery for academic credit, non-credit, certificates, and/or re-certification purposes. They will assess the impact of the pesticide safety education program and chemigation program efforts in team or individual efforts and report these impacts to Nebraska Extension, the administrative unit, community and public leaders, the general public, and peers at conferences and meetings. The extension professional will develop and maintain a comprehensive statewide educational program of excellence in pesticide safety education. This twelve-month, non-tenure track, in-person position carries the title of Extension Instructor or Open Rank extension educator, depending on the candidate's level of education and experience. If hired as an instructor, the incumbent will be expected to make satisfactory progress toward and complete a master's degree within the initial five-year appointment period. As part of the Nebraska benefits package, UNL offers tuition remission for full-time employees, up to 15 credit hours per year. Once the master's degree is earned within that period, the position will advance to an assistant extension educator appointment. Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications This position is not eligible for employment-based permanent residency sponsorship. UNL may be able to sponsor temporary work authorization (e.g., H-1B) for the successful candidate.
