Responsibilities: The tenure-line faculty will teach masters and doctoral students in Educational Leadership. In accordance with the departments approved workload policy, tenure-line faculty in the department have a 2/2 teaching load beginning in year 3. In years 1 and 2, tenure-line faculty teach a reduced load of 1/2 or 2/1. Other responsibilities include developing an active research agenda, advising masters and doctoral students specializing in educational leadership; chairing and/or serving on masters exams, theses, and doctoral dissertation committees; serving on department and university committees; contributing to program partnerships and initiatives. Expectations will be commensurate with the rank sought (Assistant, Associate). All requirements for the doctorate must have been completed by the time of the start date of the appointment. Minimum of three years of successful experience as a PK-20 leader (e.g., principal, assistant principal, superintendent, director, assistant director). Evidence of research in the area of Educational Leadership. Preferred requirements: Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience as a PK-20 leader (e.g., principal, assistant principal, superintendent, director, assistant director) Evidence of excellence or potential for excellence in teaching courses in Educational Leadership Evidence of excellence or potential for excellence in research in Educational Leadership Experience with a variety of course delivery methods Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
