The Advanced Training Systems Exercise Instructor (ATSEI) reports directly to the Site Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Conduct scheduled CI-led/supported training for Training Device and Systems Training, including briefs and debriefs, using traditional and modern tools such as interactive whiteboards, computers, and video projector systems.
- Evaluate student training/mission performance as required and record trainer performance IAW established criteria.
- Review curriculum, assess, and recommend improvements to the training program.
- Maintain, assess, and recommend improvements to mission scenarios for effectiveness and currency.
- Provide classroom instruction and recommendations for improvement to include test and test materials, lesson plans, and trainee guides under the guidelines of current directives.
- Academic instruction to include Instructor-led lectures, discussions for Crew Resource Management, Instrument Ground School, and self-paced Computer Aided Instruction and Computer Based Training in
support of courses required for each platform. - Assist with training device inspections and certification programs and other special projects.
- Other additional CI support and collateral responsibilities/duties as assigned by the Site Manager.
Pay Rate: The rate for this position is $103.43/hr with an additional over $7/hour in lieu. However, Valiant considers several factors, including but not limited to, market data, business considerations, internal equity, the role and responsibilities of the position, a candidate's work experience, education, and training, when extending an offer. - Have been an F/A-18 E/F Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) qualified Pilot or WSO preferably within the last two (2) years.
- Preferably a former Weapon School graduate (NAWDC, MAWTS-1, EAWS/HAVOC) with operational experience within the past 3 years as a Weapon and Tactics Instructor (Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor (SFTI) or Air Interdiction Mission Commander (AIMC)).
- Each Pilot or WSO candidate will have a minimum of one (1) Fleet tour and eight hundred (800) flying hours in the F/A-18 E/F platform preferably.
- Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to receive and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- The applicant must be a U.S. citizen, possess ability to obtain a U.S. passport and must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Requires mental alertness and acute concentration for prolonged periods of time and the physical ability to walk, stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
- Present a professional appearance.
- Conduct all other duties as directed/assigned in the Statement of Work and/or Contract.
- Function as a member of an Instructor Team, reporting directly to the Site Manager.
- Upon hire, will be subject to additional Government vetting in IAW requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
