Provides direct patient care and supportive services to patients with mental health disorders as well as chemically dependent patients to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients. Carries out a variety of patient care activities which support the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu and which meet the patient's needs for comfort and safety. May also perform the duties and responsibilities of an Emergency Department Technician.

REQUIRED

1. Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other behavioral health related fields, with four (4) years of experience in the behavioral health field in an inpatient setting, OR six (6) years of experience in inpatient psychiatric settings.
2. At least one (1) year of experience as a Behavioral Health Tech III at Northside.
3. Must hold American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED

1. Four (4) years of experience as a Behavioral Health Technician.
2. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other behavioral health fields

OR

Associate's Degree and Three (3) years' experience in inpatient setting

OR

One (1) year of experience in the behavioral health field

OR

Five (5) years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting
